When we went to Cleveland to pick up my wedding dress, I knew we had to visit the colorful animals in Downtown Cleveland. I had wanted to see them in person after seeing them on Kayla’s blog, The Dainty Squid, last summer (check out the post here). I saw one red snail when we walked around Ohio City, but I had to see one of the bigger exhibits. From the looks of Kayla’s post it seems that some of them have been taken down since the summer. The public art installation, referred to as #flockCLE was made possible by CrackingArt (an Italian firm) and the Land Studio (a local Cleveland firm). If you didn’t know, the Republic National Convention was hosted in Cleveland over the summer and a lot of work (like additional public art) was put into the city to make it convention-ready.
As you can see, Cleveland had quite a bit of snow! We were surprised when we made the drive up of how much snow there was in Cleveland because we have barely gotten any snow this year in Columbus. I was hoping to take more pictures of the snow this year, but it doesn’t look like that’s going to happen anytime soon because it has been in the 50s-60s the past week. What a crazy spring we’re having this winter.
Have a great Thursday!
