A few weekends ago Chase and I went to Cleveland for the day to pick up my wedding dress. Don’t worry, he didn’t go into the shop with me! I got my wedding dress from Miranda’s Vintage Bridal, which is located in Tremont. If you’re in Ohio and looking for a vintage wedding or party dress, definitely check out Miranda’s! We met up with my friend (who is from Cleveland) and her boyfriend to explore Tremont a little bit. I had explored Tremont before on my other visits to Cleveland, but this trip was the most time I had spent in the neighborhood. Tremont is known for being the neighborhood with the highest concentration of historic churches in the country and the neighborhood is on National Register of Historic Places. It was pretty cold this day, so we didn’t spend a ton of time outside. This was the first time I took pictures in the snow this winter! Overall, it’s been a mild winter in Ohio this season.
Don’t you love that purple house?! We ate lunch at Barrio, a favorite of most of my Cleveland friends! The owners of Barrio actually started Condado in Columbus, a favorite of most of my Columbus friends (including myself). If you haven’t been to either the concept is basically DIY tacos – you fill out a piece of paper and decide the ingredients of your taco. They also have a menu of crafted tacos and burritos to pick from, plus amazing drinks. I love their margaritas because you can add a flavor to them to change it up! And to top it all off, they have an amazing happy hour! At Condado, the happy hour is from 4-7:00pm Monday through Friday with half off margaritas and $1 off tacos! I’d highly recommend eating at Barrio if you ever visit Cleveland (they have several locations) or Condado in Columbus (also several locations). P.S. the queso is amazing. After getting lunch at Barrio, we walked around the neighborhood and then Chase and I went to Ohio City for a bit before heading back to Columbus.
Have you been to Tremont or Condado/Barrio? If not, where is your favorite place to get tacos? Have a great weekend!
