What I Wore — The Babe With The Power

babewiththepowertitle

Happy Galentine’s Day to all the ladies out there! I celebrated Galentine’s Day on Friday with breakfast for dinner with some of my best girlfriends. It was a blast and it was SO good to see some friends that I hadn’t seen in a while. I have a confession to make about this outfit… when I bought this shirt I didn’t realize it was a quote from Labyrinth. I bought it because it felt like an awesome feminist statement! I know a few people that are obsessed with Labyrinth (I remember watching it for the first time while babysitting about seven years ago), but I honestly didn’t love it. I think I need to watch it again as an adult to really appreciate it. The tee is from Oui Fresh, the clothing company owned by A Beautiful Mess. I had been eyeing it for a while and made the jump to get it when they pledged 100% of their sales for 24 hours to the ACLU a couple weeks ago.

Shirt: Oui Fresh ~ Pants: Second Chance ~ Tights: Target ~ Flats: Moorea Seal (Iris Flat is sold out)~ Cat Purse: ModCloth (sold out in black)

It was about 60 degrees (F) in Columbus when we shot these photos in Worthington! I always appreciated warm weather days in the winter, but it definitely makes me worried about it being a result of climate change. It was refreshing to go out-and-about without a coat and a lot easier to shoot these photos without being freezing. We shot these photos after walking around Downtown Worthington. I had just found my dream hutch and I am still debating if I need it in my house. I really LOVE this outfit! It made me feel good and kinda sassy. I’ve been wanting to show everyone my cat purse on the blog for the longest time! It’s been my go-to bag since I bought it in December from ModCloth.

Have a great start to your week! I’ll have a DIY for Valentine’s Day on the blog tomorrow!
