Top Six of 2016

I wanted to include a recap of my favorite posts this year because it was something I didn’t do last year and I enjoy seeing on other blogs. I decided on six since it is two-thousand SIXteen. Below I shared my six favorite outfit posts, six favorite adventures, and six favorite blog moments. I also shared the six posts that I published this year that got the most views in 2016. I had just over 150 blog posts for this year, which made my total of blog posts jump just over 400. My page views doubled from 2015 and I made some great strides in blogging this year. 2016 was a good year for my blog, but I’ll share more on that later this week.

New Dress, Old School | Loved the location + I have to stop myself from wearing this dress every single week because it’s great for remixing and the dress makes me feel glamorous!

Ice Cream + Rainbows | After seeing this rainbow skirt on several bloggers, I’m glad I made the jump to get it for myself. I loved styling it for this outfit + wearing it during Columbus Pride.

Off the Shoulder | This dress is one of the more unique ones that I own + I loved how these photos came out. I was feelin’ myself.

Pink Spring Dress | This outfit was on repeat all spring + summer long.

22bday (8)

Twenty-Two | This outfit was great for the many hot summer days we had in Columbus. It’s definitely different from what I normally wear.

favoritedress (8)

Favorite Dress | Still one of my favorite dresses! I like how it can be remixed easily and worn over the seasons. I wish I could have the dress in several colors + styles.

Charleston, South Carolina | I fell in LOVE with Charleston. As an urbanite, I was worried about how much I would enjoy Charleston because it’d make me want to live there, it truly exceeded all of my expectations. Maybe the stars will align so I can move there someday. I’d love to work in preservation in Charleston.

DeepEllumMurals (14)

Deep Ellum neighborhood in Dallas, Texas | I visited Dallas over spring break and it also exceeded my expectations! I especially loved Deep Ellum. It reminded me of East Franklinton in Columbus and the River Arts District in Asheville, North Carolina. I had a separate post just for the murals in the neighborhood.

Hoffmaster State Park on Lake Michigan | Mine + Chase’s trips around Lake Michigan were all enjoyable, but Hoffmaster State Park holds a special place in my heart because of my last name.

Lincoln Park neighborhood in Chicago, Illinois | I was walking through Brownstone Heaven with three of my best friends, what more could a girl want?

Sunflower Field in Yellow Springs, Ohio | SO happy we visited the sunflower field this year. I now plan to go back every year (maybe a weekday next day because the crowds were not fun). It was so much fun to photograph.

AnnArborMI 109

Downtown Ann Arbor, Michigan | I was impressed with how much there was to do in Downtown Ann Arbor! Chase’s mom just relocated to Ann Arbor and I’m looking forward to exploring the city more.

Epiphany Engagement | Chase + I have almost been engaged for a year, how crazy is that?! We’re getting married on our six year anniversary in August. I’ve kind of failed at the “wedding blogging.” Anyone interested in seeing my wedding progress in the new year?

“Create” Shoot | This was such a fun day! We did a lot of Columbus things and took some fun photos.

College Graduation | I graduated from OSU! I enjoyed taking graduation pictures with two of my gal friends around campus the week before – they are some of my favorite photos.

pride_parade (5)

Columbus Pride Parade | Pride was a truly amazing experience. The parade + festival happened a few days after the incident at Pulse Nightclub, and it was such an uplifting thing to experience after mourning the victims of the shooting. It was a great thing to experience with my church family. I’ll sure be attending the rest of the Columbus Pride Parades while I’m in Columbus.

2Blogiversary_AO (12)

Second Blogiversary | I celebrated my second blogiversary with Anna in Downtown Columbus. We had a great time shooting photos together. It’s hard to make blogging a priority, but I hope my third year continues to get better!

Dia de los Muertos Shoot | I love these photos that Rachel took. I’m really looking forward to her taking photos during our wedding. It was fun to collaborate with local creators on this shoot!
