What I Wore — Pink Gingham

ohiobirdsuvtitle

What I great weekend! It was a VERY active weekend for me. I went to Hocking Hills and biked a ton. Chase and I rode our bikes to Glen Echo Park in the Clintonville area after an all-church brunch. I had seen pictures of the Ohio Birds Mural on Instagram and made a note in my phone that I wanted to visit it. The Clintonville neighborhood is an area I hope to spend more time biking through because the houses are beautiful and there are a few parks!  It ended up being about an eight mile round trip from the mural to my house. It was around 90 degrees with high humidity, which is why I look pretty sweaty in these photos (#sorrynotsorry).

How about this dress?! This dress (which is no longer available, but this one is similar) was a birthday gift to myself! I had been wanting a gingham dress and something from Unique Vintage, so when I found it on sale I knew I had to get it. I was looking at this black gingham dress, but I ended up going with the pink one because the cut was different from my normal style (especially the twirl factor!) and I don’t wear a ton of pink. The dress wasn’t the best for biking because of the fullness of the skirt – I ended up having to tie it up a rubber-band when we biked around Columbus (I usually wear shorts underneath dresses when I bike anyway).  This dress is making me want to add more gingham to my wardrobe – it’s perfect for the summer! Also, this is the longest my hair has been in a long time! I definitely have bad helmet hair. When my hair was shorter, helmet hair wasn’t as noticeable. I think I’ll be cutting it soon because it is starting to drive me crazy. What do you think?

Have a great start to your week! I’ll be sharing more photos of this mural tomorrow!
