What I Wore — Pride

Happy Pride! This past weekend we celebrated Pride in Columbus. It was mine and Chase’s first Pride event and it was SO much fun! After Orlando, many people were worried about the parade and festival in Columbus, but everything went smoothly thanks to the police and law enforcement that were out. We marched in the parade with our church, Stone Village, and I will have a separate post on the parade itself. We both got this year’s Pride shirt from Stone Village that matched the temporary tattoos that we passed out during the parade. Even though the parade was a lot of fun, it was exhausting! Once we got to Goodale Park when the parade ended, we walked to Native Cold Pressed in the Short North for some lunch. It was our first time at Native and it lived up to the hype! I got the Summer Nectar juice and a Superberry bowl. I could totally go for another bowl and juice right now and I will definitely be going back to Native this summer!  It was so refreshing after walking a few miles for the parade. When we made it back home, I was pooped and took a nap. Chase snapped these pictures by my favorite mural at the end of the day.

Guys, this skirt is amazing! I ordered it specifically to wear at Pride after seeing it on Nicole from Writes Like A Girl. The quality is amazing and the colors are so vibrant in person! I got several compliments as I marched during the parade. The skirt also has pockets, which was great for the parade because I stored my “Jesus Loves Everyone” tattoos in the pockets. I’m excited to wear it more throughout the summer! My sunglasses from One More Time completed my colorful outfit! This hat has definitely become one of my summer essentials, especially when I take summer naps and my hair becomes all messy. Have you celebrated Pride in your city?

Have a great Monday & Happy first official day of Summer!
