I turned twenty-two yesterday! Chase and I started my birthday with breakfast at Tommy’s Diner with my salon co-workers. I got the stuffed french toast and it was amazing. Tommy’s is one of my favorite breakfast places in Columbus – it’s on Broad Street in Franklinton. After breakfast, we went to church and then adventured to Yellow Springs. We’ve been to Yellow Springs several times (see my Adventure page for the posts on Yellow Springs). My boss suggested we check out Clifton Mills on our way to Yellow Springs. Clifton Mills was really cool and I am glad we checked it out! I will have a blog post later this week with some photos of Clifton Mills.
Tank & Hat: Old Navy ~ Jean Shorts: Second Chance Consignment (originally from J. Crew) ~ Shoes: Ash Toms ~ Bag: Jo-Totes (Allison Butterscotch) ~ Ohio is for Lovers Necklace: Red Giraffe Designs ~ Sunglasses & Watch: Target
I’m glad I got the photos I did at Clifton Mills and that we did that before because after our lunch in Yellow Springs a storm was brewing. I didn’t take my camera on our ride in fear that it would get wet, even though my new camera bag from Jo-Totes would have kept it safe. We ended up getting a little wet from the rain early on during the bike ride, then got soaked on the last 10 miles back to Yellow Springs. We did 20 miles – it’s 10 miles to Xenia Station from Yellow Springs. The day definitely didn’t go as planned because of the rain, but it was still a fun adventure for my birthday.
I recently picked up these shorts from Second Chance after I realized I didn’t have any shorts that I liked/fit. I picked up the tank & hat from Old Navy before we left for Yellow Springs because I needed a breezy tank (it’s open in the back) and I had been wanting a hat like this! This look is definitely different for me, but I like it! This was also my first outing with my new camera bag and I love it!
Enjoy your Memorial Day & have a great start to your week!
