Springtime Blossoms Snapshots

Hi there! Did you miss me last week? I did not intend on taking last week off from the blog (and life in general). Last weekend, Chase developed a stomach bug that ended up getting passed to me while I was taking care of him and it kicked me in the butt. I spent most of the time sleeping or laying around trying to get better. I hadn’t felt that sick in a really long time and it was awful. Beware of stomach bugs! I started to finally feel normal this weekend, and I am thankful for that. This week is going to be a crazy one – it’s my last week of classes for undergrad! I printed my portfolio and submitted the draft for my thesis this weekend, so graduation is starting to feel closer. I plan to get my cap and gown this week, too! I took these pictures when Chase and I walked around Goodale Park a few weekends ago. It was also when he took these outfit photos for me. I wanted to go to Goodale because I knew that the flowers would be the nice pink color that only lasts for a short while.

I’m pretty pleased with that last picture! As much as I love my current camera, a Nikon Coolpix S9900, I’m not impressed with how it handles close-up shots a majority of the time. It took me several tries to get a good, clear shot of the flowers up close. I’m hoping that I can find a DSLR after graduation that is within my price range to expand my photography. I don’t want to get rid of my Nikon Coolpix because I definitely think it’s a great camera, especially on the go, but I would like to experiment more with shooting and have clearer images. I plan to look at Midwest Photo Exchange in Clintonville because I got my Nikon Coolpix there last summer and they work with customers well.

What kind of camera do you use? Have a great Monday! I’m excited to be back on the blog and back to feeling like myself!
