Hopefully you aren’t sick of my Texas posts yet because I have a few more to share! We had drinks at Truck Yard my first night in Dallas. This place was so cool that I thought it deserved it’s own post! It’s bar with a huge outdoor seating area filled with recycled materials and rotating food trucks. It was beautiful my first day in Dallas, so the place was packed when we visited. Several people had brought their dogs to sit with them as they sipped drinks and munched on the various foodie options. I got a mojito while at the Truck Yard (that actually tasted more like a margarita, but no complaints!).
I found a piece of Columbus while at the Truck Yard (see above)! I love cool and creative places like Truck Yard. We definitely need something similar in Columbus. I could see something like this going into Franklinton. I like how it’s not just a bar – It’s gathering place for people and their dogs – It’s place that you can go with friends and each person can get something from a different food truck – It’s a fun place where you can hear live music in a growing Dallas neighborhood. Businesses like this make cities unique and create community.
Is there a place in your community that is like Truck Yard? I’d love to hear about it! Have a great Wednesday!
