Yesterday I shared some snaps of the Deep Ellum neighborhood (see here) and today I am sharing some of the murals in the neighborhood! The murals were my favorite part of Deep Ellum, and maybe my favorite part of the trip. They are a part of the 42 Murals Project, which is an initiative to get 42 murals in Deep Ellum. It was so fun to walk around and see a mural every few minutes. I took so many pictures of the murals that it was hard narrowing them down for this post!
My favorites out of this bunch were the one above with all the people (and me), the hairless cat (which I already shared on my Instagram), “ART”, and “Deep Ellum TX.” It was cool to see how people interacted with the murals. I saw people taking pictures of and with many of them, or casually walking by them like they see them everyday. The murals act as a beautification tool for the neighborhood, but also a fun feature of tourism. I hope wherever I live in the future has a ton of murals! I don’t think Columbus has enough!
Does your city have murals? Do you have a favorite mural from this post? Have a great Tuesday!
