Defining Life Project

Defining Life Project: Definitions #116-120

Life is this.  SB

Life is a series of twisting roads and mysterious signs that somehow always has a way of working itself out.  MNG

Life is the search for something more, which would be Heaven for us.  KBS

Life is a challenge, you have to fulfill something. You have to fulfill something that you have to figure out what it’s going to be.  CIF

To glorify God.  AMH

Can I be honest about things in my life for a second? Chase, my fiance, is on his spring break this week and is on a wilderness trek with a team of people in Roan Mountain (sound familiar – we went to Roan Mountain together last fall). This is his third trek, so you think I would be used to this now. The first one was rather easy since I was in London while he was on his trek, and I don’t remember last year’s being too difficult. To be honest, this one was been the hardest for me. I know he is out having a blast and making great connections with nature and his team, but it’s hard not to talk to the one you love on daily basis. It’s not even the not seeing him (because we spend most weeks in the school year a part since we go to different schools), but not talking about little things here and there. He’s a sweetheart and wrote me a note for each day, which is helping a ton. Up until yesterday, I was having a really difficult week. I was having trouble getting to sleep and feeling very melancholy. This might sound crazy that I miss just purely texting with my fiance for week, but it feels better to talk about it. Have you ever been in my situation?

Anyways…to this week’s definitions.  The first seems so simple, but is so true. We have to enjoy the now. I try to enjoy the now, but it is so easy to get distracted by the past or the future. I have been thinking about what I want to fulfill in my life since I am approaching graduation. School has basically filled my life for the past 21 years, and I am ready for a break. I hope I can fulfill a creative life, and I aspire to make a change with whatever I do. And I hope with whatever I end up doing, it can glorify God in some way.

Is there one definition that sticks out to you? If you want to share your definition of life with me, please email me with your definition and your initials (first, middle, last) at thevintageurbaniteblog[at]gmail[dot]com. I am always collecting more to keep this project going! Have a great Thursday!
