After walking King Street and through Marion Square, we drove to Battery Park. We got the recommendation to check out Battery Park when we visited Brown’s Court Bakery for breakfast. BATTERY PARK WAS SO BEAUTIFUL! It was so nice to see a lush landscape and the greenery. This was definitely one of my favorite parts of Charleston. I loved walking through the park and along the water. There are some beautiful homes along the park that were absolutely amazing. I’ll have those in a separate post on Charleston architecture.I really didn’t want to leave Battery Park because it was making me fall hard for Charleston…I’m a city planner, so I definitely fall in love with cities! But the hunger was getting to us, so we stopped at Hominy Grill before we hit the road for the day. I got the shrimp & grits that I wanted so that made me happy! That recaps our first visit to Charleston! Since we ended up going back to Charleston on our way back to Columbus, I still have more photos to share. Stay tuned for a post on the famous Rainbow Row tomorrow!
Have a great Thursday!
