Happy belated Halloween everyone! I hope you had an enjoyable weekend celebrating! This was the outfit that I wore during the day on Halloween with the last photo as my Day of the Dead costume with Chase. I always try to dress up on holidays because it makes me feel festive and it gives me the excuse to feel like a kid again. These tights are also perfect and I love bringing them out every year!
I am quite impressed how our costumes turned out! I have always loved sugar skulls (I hope to get a tattoo of one someday) and I loved learning about & celebrating Day of the Dead during my five years taking Spanish. I was a bit nervous about applying the make-up because I hadn’t practiced before applying both of our faces. Before I added the decorative pieces to our sugar skull faces, we looked pretty scary. We frightened a couple people before the Halloween party we attended as we were getting ready. Here is a close up of our make-up from my Instagram. I also made my headpiece the night before and I love how it turned out! It was super simple to make and only required the tinsel, flowers, and some twist-ties. My dress was given to me by my boss; she found it while cleaning out her rental house. It worked perfectly for my costume! It has an open back that is not shown in the picture. We already have some ideas for costumes next year, so let’s hope we remember them!
Have a great Tuesday!
