Holiday

Florida Fourth Celebration

I don’t know about you, but I had a pretty chill 4th of July. This was the second year in a row that Chase & I vacationed in Florida for the 4th to be with his mom. I like spending the 4th in Melbourne because we don’t have to drive anywhere to see the display because we can see fireworks from the beach (back on condo) and from the street (front of condo). The fireworks are everywhere you turn! We lit sparklers, had some drinks, and just enjoyed from both locations.

In Columbus, I used toΒ go to Red, White, & Boom to celebrate the 4th, but I was never a fan of trying to find a place to park and the really large crowds. And in my younger years, I spent my 4th on the lake with my family at the cottage we rented every year in Lake Erie. We would just sit at the docks and watch the fireworks go off from all the surrounding islands and peninsulas. Actually, it’s actually kind of full circle that I would be spending my holiday on the water again like I did when I was younger. It’s also funny because I’ve worn the dress that I am wearing in the picture for the past 3 years on the 4th – I wish I would’ve got more pictures of it, but there’s always next year! I enjoyed the laid back celebration and I’m thankful for the time we all spent together last week. I’ll have more to share about my vacation soon, so stay tuned!
