Defining Life Project

Defining Life Project: Definitions #81-85

Life is a puzzle that you have all the wrong pieces for. You think you know what the end result is supposed to look life, but in the end, your picture doesn’t match the one on the box.  FAV III

Life is moving forward: not letting your past bog you down, but not running from it either. In essence, making a better future, but never forgetting where you came from.    TMD

Life is what you make it.  AJP

Life’s a roller-coaster. There’s always an uphill climb, but no way to see the bottom.  AMR

To me the meaning of life is doing your best, failing, succeeding, and being simply who you want to be, not who anyone else does.  It’s hanging with your friends, making enemies, and learning. And I guess, it’s just trying to do everything you’ve ever wanted to to do before you die.  TMW

pinkflowersIt has been loonngg time since my last Defining Life Project post, apologies to those who like this series! My last post was in the beginning of April. I plan to write another in-between-definitions piece sometime soon since my last one, and only, was at the 50 mark. I wrote about my struggle with depression, which lead to this project, you can find that post here.

This is an interesting batch of definitions, for sure! Different concepts and ideas throughout. I definitely agree with the first one – I feel like I have especially changed a lot from high school. The second one feels important right now, especially remembering where I came from in the sense of community. I have felt nostalgic recently with my high school friends returning home for the summer. I’m also really thankful for the community I grew up in. Feel free to share if there is a definition that resonates well with you – I’d love to hear feedback!
