What I Wore — Homemade in Purple

Homemade in purple? Well, I made this skirt! I had been meaning to share pictures of the two skirts that I made by hand for a while (the first one was featured in this post about Moonlight Market). The fabric & pattern is from Jo-Ann Fabric’s & was a gift from my “aunt” (quotations because we’re not actually related, but she is basically an aunt). My mom & I made the two skirts together one afternoon & I still have a third skirt to create.

I paired my homemade skirt with a new jean button-up from Old Navy (thanks to my aunt who got me the giftcard!). This shirt is going to be my new staple for all my skirts! My tights & boots are from Target (can you tell I’m obsessed with these boots since they’ve been featured in most of my outfit posts lately?). The purple bracelet is from Melissa Woods Jewelry & the “Ohio is for Lovers” necklace is from Red Giraffe Designs – both great Ohio-made jewelry shops. The kitty ring was one of my presents from my “aunt” this Christmas.
