Snapshots from the Mountains

I am actually on vacation this week! And even though most would use this to take a break from blogging, I want to use this as an opportunity to blog more. This past weekend Chase & I drove from Ohio to Florida to visit his mom. We stopped in Asheville, North Carolina one night to break up the driving. We have gotten very lucky thus far and have had beautiful weather, which can be seen in the photos from how blue the sky is. Even though the drive is very long, some sites truly make it worth it. We decided to stop at a scenic overlook when we entered North Carolina to stretch our legs & take pictures. Chase loves the mountains & I am quite fond of them as well.

The last photo is my new favorite necklace from Yellow Tree Store. I found Laurie & her Etsy shop on Instagram a couple months ago. I wanted to purchase a necklace from her, but battled between this kitty that can be customized & the monkey picture above. I still would like a little calico kitty necklace that would be modeled after my critters, but I also love my monkey (Fun Fact: I fell in love with primates after taking Biological Anthropology my first year of college!). She isΒ still having a 15% off sale, so grab up a cute creature that can go on mountain-top adventures!

Anyways, I have a couple more posts in storeΒ from our little trip to Asheville, so stay tuned! Also, I hope everyone enjoys this last week in 2014 πŸ™‚
