Happy (Belated) Thanksgiving everyone!
I was trying to decide if I wanted to do a Thanksgiving post; I did not want to because I thought it was a bit cliché, but then I had a change of heart and decided it was important because I have a lot to be thankful for. This is also my first Thanksgiving as a blogger, so hey, you guys don’t know what I am thankful for!
First, I am thankful for this blog! I was not really sure what to expect when I started blogging. I thought “Will people read this?” and “Do I even have time to start another project?”. I am thankful I started this because it definitely brings me out of my comfort in some ways and is a great way to keep track of my life. So, I am also thankful for all my followers and readers – you guys rock!
Second, I am thankful for all the critters in my life. Picka & Polka are the best little kitties. They keep me company and always put a smile on my face. I am so happy that I adopted them in August of 2012. I am also thankful for the other critters in my life like boss’s dog, Emma, and Chase’s dog, Libby, and my family’s cats, Buster & Flossy.
Third, I am thankful for my wonderful boyfriend Chase. We have shared just over three years together. I am so thankful that you are in my life to adventure everywhere & everything. He has also been very supportive of my blogging & will even edit some of my posts.
Fourth, I am thankful for my education at Ohio State. Transferring my sophomore was such a great decision. I am also thankful for the City & Regional Planning Program. I have said it before & I know I will say it again, I am in love with urban planning. It makes me so happy that I will be working in a career that I have so much passion for. I am also thankful for the many friends that I have made. It definitely fuels my passion learning with people who are also so passionate. I hope we continue to grow closer over the next year and half.
Fifth, I am thankful the rest of my friends & family. I feel very blessed to have a great support system. I get to see my parents pretty often, which I wasn’t crazy about when I started college so close to home, but it really is great. Especially since my dad brings me leftovers regularly (the photo below is him & I when I was a baby). It is also great to still be good friends with some people from my high school. We may not always communicate on a regular basis, but I am glad we always pick up where we left off.
I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving & ate some yummy food with some wonderful people! Now it’s time to get in the Christmas spirit 🙂
