On our day trip to Orlando last week we visited The Mall at Millenia & the IKEA store! I had never been to an IKEA store, but have always wanted to go. In 500 of Days of Summer they take a trip to an IKEA for a date, which looked fun.
IKEA is HUGE! When we first walked in it felt like vision overload – so many colors, shapes & sizes! It surprised me how reasonable in price everything was. I expected IKEA to be expensive, but I think I will go back when I decorate my next home. I did not buy anything this time because I would have had to fly back with it, but Marie (my boyfriend’s mom) bought some things for her new place. All of us did become a little overwhelmed at the end of it because we did not know when the store was going to end.
I love these lamps! They seem to be everywhere these days
So many fluffy beds!
I love these rolling carts, they would be a great for a portable bar
The little animals lights were so cute, but we had a hard time figuring out how to work them
My favorite parts of the store was the section for kids (because I am really a five year old who loves stuffed animals at heart) & the model homes. IKEA kind of felt like a brought to life Pinterest board for home decor & furniture. I saw many things that I had seen while browsing & pinning. I probably have some things pinned from IKEA on my “Home Sweet Home” Pinterest board.
I always wanted a bed canopy as a kid!
Of course we had to play in the children’s tent…
At the end of our IKEA adventure we got cinnamon roles & a frozen soda. We decided the way to do IKEA was to know what you are going in for to make the trip easier & less stressful. We finished our day in Orlando by having dinner at Bahama Breeze with my boyfriend’s grandparents. It was a fun day in Orlando!
Have you ever visited an IKEA store? What was your reaction?
